Hoonboy

Hoonboy is a unique live breakcore performer at the cutting edge of this ever evolving scene. His renowned ability for immaculate live production, induces praise & envy across the UK & Europe by twisting, mixing and mashing up his showcase of exclusive tracks & live remixes using his own distorted drums, insane scratches, rawkuss samples & stomach churning bass lines, guaranteed to rock any crowd he graces. Inspired by a mis-spent youth dabbling in the UK rave scene, Hoonboy first picked up a set of decks at the relatively old age of 19.

Using Ableton and a selection of hardware he has been able to create a breakcore-rave instrument that can be played live with devastating results. Fusing dubstep, ambient, ragga jungle, breakcore, hard dnb and old skool, with an arsenal of breaks, samples, fills, acapellas and effects, hoonboy brings the noize – and the neoravefunk – to anywhere he plays. Hoonboy now lives in Manchester, England and spends most of his time in a little box. His musical toys relieve him of boredom and occasionally he takes them out to play.
